BVRT Campaign

Following a 2-year campaign by the activist group now known as the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Users Association, in January 2016 the Queensland Government announced that it would allocate $1.8 million for completion of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail plus $2.5 million over 10 years for maintenance plus engagement by Tourism Queensland in promoting the Trail. It is anticipated the Toogoolawah to Moore section will be completed by late 2016/early 2017.

The section from Wulkuraka to Wanora is funded under separate arrangements and should be completed by June/July 2016.
