About this Event
Breaking news - the iconic Linville Hotel has been purchased by an enterprising couple, Paul & Leah Squires, with 30 years experience in tourism. They have big plans to develop the property as a tourism hub for the BVRT, which will be great for the region.
In partnership with Paul and Leah and to help celebrate the start of a new era at the historic country pub, we've organised a night ride from Yarraman to Linville , finishing with a truly delicious gourmet meal at the pub.
Menu
Entree Pumpkin Soup and Crusty bread
Main – choice of three
Lamb Shank on garlic mash with seasonal vegetables
Baked Salmon on a bed of couscous with Asian Greens
Sweet potato, Quinoa and Black Bean burger with Fries
Desert Apple Pie
To assist with catering, you will be asked to make a menu choice when registering for this event.
It's the Queens Birthday - why not stay for the long weekend? If anyone is interested in overnight accommodation at the pub, contact Leah and Paul - they are happy to offer a reduced rate for our cyclists. Please give them a call on 07-5424 7280 to arrange your stay. Free camping is also available in the old station yards across the road.
Transport from Linville to Yarraman will be provided by Out There Cycling, departing at 4.00 pm, then ride back to Linville by the light of the stars, weather permitted.
Yarraman to Linville is one of the best night ride experiences in SE Qld. About 60% of the ride is downhill. Plenty of variation and the Benarkin forest at night is just special.
Best suited for MTBs or gravel bikes. Good off-road lights that can last for at least 3 hours are mandatory. Basic off-road riding skills essential.
Cost: $65 inclusive of transport, support crew and gourmet evening meal.
Gourmet meal only (family and friends): $35
Places are limited to 32 - book early to avoid missing out.
For your safety, BVRT Users Association reserves the right to postpone this event if there are adverse conditions such as bad weather forecast.
As usual, you ride with us at your own risk.
